Restart- When the Mozilla Firefox stops responding, restart the computer. Restarting the device solves the problem to the great extent. After restarting the device, open the browser again. If restarting the device doesn’t work out, go to the next point.
Update the drivers- Drivers which are not up to date or which are of old versions are also responsible for this issue. To solve this issue, update all the drivers.
To update the drivers, go to the Start menu and type the Device manager in the search bar.
After hitting the enter button, a window will appear on the screen, select the Display adaptor option from the list.
Select the driver from the list which is required to be updated and click on the update driver software Firefox Customer Support and click on the Done.
Corrupted files- Mozilla Firefox not responding, Firefox corrupted file might be the reason behind this issue. A user can repair the corrupted files by following the given points-
- To repair the corrupted files, go to the official page of the Firefox and install new Firefox for the windows.
- Do not remove the Firefox from the computer, close all the windows.
- On a computer, go to the folder where Firefox is installed, rename it.
- By clicking on the Download Firefox executable file, start the installer process.

Session Restore Files- In Firefox, this is also a major problem. Remove all the unnecessary session restore files from the device.
To do this, go to the menu option, click on the troubleshooting information. From Application Basics option, click on Open folder option.
From the folder delete the file named with sessionstore.js. and it's associated files.
Uninstall and reinstall- If the above points don't seem useful, uninstall and reinstall the Firefox.
